African Women’s Public Service Fellowship, sponsored by Oprah Winfrey Foundation tries to prepare African women with their experience of working to face African issues for public service as their careers in the country. This fellowship is only available to degree-seeking students at New York University. Advanced professional certificate or non-degree programs are not applicable to this fellowship.

Queensland University of Technology Research Scholarship

QUT awards a limited number of scholarships every year to students who provide clear evidence of exceptional research potential and who are undertaking, or applying to undertake, a higher degree by research. QUT research scholarships provide funding to women researchers.

The selected candidates will receive a living allowance for three years, indexed annually ($28,597 in 2021). The scholarship is for full-time students and can be used to support living costs. ALC Peace and Security Fellowship

African Leadership Centre (ALC) fellowship brings African women together in the early stages of their careers to receive carefully designed training programs that concentrate on conflict, security, and development. The program is set against a number of background factors. Firstly, comparatively low level of women involved in peace and security issues specifically as compared with those involved in human rights and development sectors.

The fellowship comprises two six months phases. During the first six-month phase at the ALC in Nairobi and King’s College London. The fellows undertake a full-time study of MA-level courses in leadership, security, and development that are jointly developed by the ALC and King’s College London. This is a fully-funded opportunity but not including any visa application and processing costs. Funds will be made available to the fellows to cover tuition, subsistence in the UK and Africa. Margaret McNamara Educational Grants Scholarships

The Margaret McNamara Educational Grants (MMEG) provides grants to women from developing countries to help further their education and strengthen their leadership skills. Consequently, they would improve the lives of women and children in developing countries.

Approximately eight awards offered annually. The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $15,000. Note that, if the recipient does not return to his country or any other developing country after completing his studies in the United States within 30 months of receiving the grant, or after completing his work, she must pay back the full amount of his grant. Global Change Leaders Programme

The Global Change Leaders Program for Women in Developing Countries provides successful candidates with a full scholarship that includes tuition, travel, accommodations, and meals. Eligible recipients are responsible for costs pertaining to acquire a visa entering Canada. This is one of the few organizations globally that offer the opportunity to apply for grant funding to young women in developing countries.

They provide grants to youth aged 18-30 who have been selected and trained in-person as a participant at a Global Changemakers event, or who have been trained online by completing our online course “Project Management for Changemakers”. Grants of up to 1000 Swiss Francs (CHF) will be available to anyone under the age of 30 from the GCM network (people who have been selected for and trained at one of our in-person summits), or those who have successfully completed the online Project Management course.
