The United Nations University (UNU-EHS), which is also located in Bonn, and the University of Bonn have partnered to provide the Master of Science in Global Health Risk Management & Hygiene Policies program. The English-taught modular course is available to post-graduate students from all over the world. The following are some examples of the research areas:

i) The fundamentals of public health, global health, and hygiene infrastructure and regulations
ii) Environmental disaster management, mother and child health, and control of infectious illnesses
iii) Health systems and management structures
iv) One Health and food safety
v) From MDGs to SDGs as guiding principles and global consensus
vi) Health risk assessment and public health sector capacity building

Course Details:

The curriculum includes a full-time, intensive study component in Bonn for a whole year that covers a variety of disciplines in relation to ideas about global health and hygiene. During the program’s second year, the required internships and the research for the Master’s thesis are completed. The student’s attendance in Bonn is not necessary during these times. The first year will include complimentary tours to nearby locations, including the Global SDG Action Campaign Center in Bonn.

Enrollment Requirements:

Applicants must have a first academic degree of at least 180 ECTS in health, life sciences, and social sciences, including public and international law, environmental planning, health governance, or health economics. Additionally, applicants must have at least two years of working experience in relevant areas, for instance, the regulation of health protection, health management and planning of health care, infrastructure, etc.
