|Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt||7 Semesters|
|Bachelor of Science||Onsite|
The Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering and Management program at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt addresses students who intend to work for international companies in functions. This work requires both an engineering background and a thorough understanding of management practices.
Consequently, the program provides a sound engineering education with modules such as engineering mechanics, material sciences, mechanical design, computer science, mathematics, software development, and electrical engineering.
Additionally, students will be prepared for the above-mentioned job requirements regarding management know‐how with lectures such as financial and management accounting, marketing, and strategic management. In addition to these competencies, “soft‐skills” are trained, e.g., by team projects and student presentations. The studies prepare students for working in international projects and positions. Specific modules such as “intercultural studies”, “selected topics in international management” and a second foreign language are part of the curriculum.
The standard period of study for the Engineering and Management Bachelor’s program amounts to seven semesters. This Bachelor’s degree is a full-time study program.
During the first and second semesters, fundamentals in engineering and management are taught.
During the third and fourth semesters, students attend more advanced and interdisciplinary lectures.
Industry internships are scheduled for the fifth semester.
During the sixth and seventh semester, students specialize by choosing advanced modules in automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, industrial engineering, and product management.
Requirements include a valid university entrance qualification (“Hochschulzugangsberechtigung”). This is a secondary school-leaving certificate equivalent to the German “Abitur” that entitles you to study at a German university.
Applicants who did not acquire the higher secondary school-leaving certificate in Germany or at a school with the German Abitur examination rules will have to send their documents to uni-assist for preliminary inspection prior to their application at THI. Please allow four to six weeks for this process, i.e., apply as soon as possible via uni-assist.
Free Of Cost
We DO NOT require a formal proof or documentation of English language skills (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS). Note that the study program is offered completely in English and that is why sufficient knowledge of the English language is strongly recommended.
No formal proof or documentation of German language skills is either required for your admission. You may start with little or no German language proficiency.
However, after the first semester, students will have to document the knowledge of the German language, level A1 (CEFR). The German language is part of the curriculum for foreign students. This allows you to reach the required level (A1) after your first semester. Depending on your entry language skills, you may have to attend an additional course, which is provided free of charge.
As three German language modules are part of the curriculum, foreign students will reach a German language level of at least B1 (CEFR) by the end of their studies.
