Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the winter semester 2020/21 will be taught completely online. With this, we will ensure that students from different countries can continue to study Global Business and Economics with us. This is an exception, only concerning the winter semester 2020/21.
The Global Business and Economics degree program can be studied with an optional semester abroad. Students study for six semesters (180 credits) or seven semesters with one semester abroad (210 credits). They attend six modules each semester, and each module has five credit points (ECTS).
The courses are completely taught in English, and the program is internationally oriented. The course of study provides basic and practice-oriented knowledge in the fields of business studies in a global setting. Students can choose from a selection of advanced modules and set their own priorities to increase their knowledge in a dedicated area. After studying Global Business and Economics, students are well-prepared to start a career in internationally operating companies. Graduates have excellent English speaking skills. As a result, they are able to operate confidently in international teams.

During the first four semesters, students acquire basic and practice-oriented knowledge in fields of business studies. This includes topics such as Managerial Accounting, Marketing, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics. This knowledge is placed in an international and global context. Courses in social competences like presentation skills and language courses in English and German complement the study program.
In the fifth semester, students are able to choose their courses from a catalog of different elective modules. Examples of these elective modules include International Marketing and Management, International Accounting, and International Economics. Deepening their intercultural competences, students can decide whether or not to study one semester abroad at one of our 90 partner universities all over the world. Finishing the degree, each student prepares a scientific topic in a Bachelor’s thesis in the final semester.
