Logistics is the management of processes of planning, structuring, and controlling the flow of goods and information in companies, as well as between suppliers and customers throughout the supply chain. It is a complex task that requires planning, organization, practicality, and technical skills.
In order to enable you to deal with complex issues in your future everyday business environment, you will acquire a thorough grounding in the following areas within the framework of an interdisciplinary degree course:

Semesters 1-3: Basic subjects (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Operations Management, Technical Mechanics, Transportation Management and Forwarding, Project Management, and Scientific Working)
Semesters 4-5: Advanced subjects (e.g., Material Flow Systems / Technical Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Logistics, Strategic Purchasing, Logistics Services, Projects in Industry, SAP lectures)
Semester 6: Internship (20 weeks)
Semester 7: Completion of the programme (Bachelor’s thesis, soft skills courses, and elective courses)
Graduates of the program are awarded the degree Bachelor of Engineering (BEng).

- If required: evidence of periods of study or certificates
- Every qualification must be checked individually, depending on the educational background of each student.

- Evidence of knowledge of English, e.g., valid TOEFL IBT® test result of at least 83 points (internet-based)
- The student must have knowledge of German at the A2 level (CEFR). There is an option to achieve this level by means of FHWS courses during the first two semesters.

Course offerings

Low student-teacher ratio
Studying at FHWS is characterized by small study groups and a low student-teacher ratio. Through a great share of seminar papers, students learn to work independently. Additionally, project work promotes the students’ team-working abilities.
