This international business program is designed for students who are interested in an international career.
Join us in learning how global players do business, in understanding the impact of digitalization, and in improving your multicultural awareness and leadership skills. You can specialize in International Marketing, International Accounting & Reporting, or International Logistics.
All lectures and seminars will be taught in small groups of max. 40 students.
Our modern curriculum meets high academic standards with a strong focus on practical experience.
This program is taught entirely in English. On a voluntary basis, students can join language classes in German, French, or Spanish at no extra charge.
Some of the highlights of the program are:
- core business and management courses with an international focus
- specialization courses, including projects with companies and institutions
- projects that address global challenges, such as sustainability and digitalization
- an integrated study abroad semester
- double degree programs for high performing students with business schools in Europe and the USA

The first three semesters are dedicated to general business administration courses, such as Operations Management, Financial Analysis, Cost Accounting, and management courses such as International HRM and Organisations, Operations Management, and Strategic Management.
Additionally, you will learn more about the business environment of global players by understanding applied disciplines such as IT/Digitalisation, Economics, and International Contract Law. Furthermore, courses in Academic Communication & Presentation and Academic Reading & Writing will improve your academic language skills in English.
In the fourth semester, you will select your field of specialization (International Marketing / International Accounting & Reporting / International Logistics) and improve your intercultural skills in preparation for studying aboard.
Your fifth semester starts with your study abroad experience at one of our partner universities (students with a high GPA can apply for a double degree). In your final semester, you will get to select three electives of your choice, and you will complete your Bachelor’s thesis.

The Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft des Saarlandes (commonly referred to as htw saar) is the largest University of Applied Sciences in the region with approximately 6,000 students. It is a multi-campus university with a very diverse student community. The percentage of international students is significantly higher than the national average. Currently, there are approximately 800 international students from over 60 countries learning together.
More than 40 Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, either taught in German, English or French are offered by htw saar in these four schools: Business, Architecture & Civil Engineering, Engineering, and Social Sciences.
