Newcastle University has promulgated the Directors International Excellence Scholarships for the academic session 2021-2022. The aim of this funding opportunity is to impel highly motivated non-EU students who want to inaugurate an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program at the Newcastle University. Compatibility Criteria

To be qualified for this partial-fee scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

  • Citizens from Colombia, Ghana, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, UAE, USA, and Vietnam can apply for this scholarship.
  • Submissions need to be in English. Applicants have to hold an offer of admission for 2021 entry to one of the specified Undergraduate or Master’s courses at Newcastle University.
  • Candidates must achieve AAB at A level (or its international equivalent) or hold a UK 1st Class Honours Degree (or its international equivalent)
  • Appliers have to acquire an English language qualification of IELTS 6.5 or its equivalent with no subskill below 6.0 if the applicant’s first language is not English.

Value of award: 50% discount for one year’s tuition fee

Procedure of Applying

If you want to apply for the award opportunity, firstly you must take admission into an undergraduate or postgraduate taught degree at the Newcastle University. For taking admission, students must have to check the entry requirements of their chosen program. Secondly, applicants are supposed to complete the scholarship online application form including submitting an essay of no more than 1,500 words in response to the question listed. Subsequently, they are expected to submit certified copies of their academic transcripts, CV, and other supporting documents. The university scholarship committee will review the submitted applications, essays, as well as given documents. Eventually, they will inform the winners through email.
