The Advanced Water Cycle Management Course is an international course designed to upgrade your water management skills and provide you with an overview of and substantial knowledge of water resource management, water distribution, and wastewater handling including resource recovery.

The summer school will also offer social events giving you the opportunity to expand your global network as well as introducing you to teamwork in solution solving matters.

The course is proudly presented by WATEC – Aarhus University Centre for Water Technology and leading Danish technology providers and Danish Water Utilities.

Course Details:

AU Summer University consists of a large variety of courses within the fields of Arts, Business and Economics, Business Communication, Political Science and Law, Health, Science, and Technology. Courses are taught in English at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the AU Summer University program for 2020 has been adjusted! Some courses will be offered fully online and others will go ahead as planned until further notice. You will be able to find a full updated course list here. More information can be found on the individual course pages.

The courses taught online will be taught in a different manner. There will be a mixture of live and recorded sessions, group work, feedback sessions, and student presentations. Depending on the nature of the course this may of course vary. All lecturers will do their utmost to engage students in online teaching, to ensure that the content and learning objectives are fulfilled. Teaching hours will vary, as we have guest lecturers and students from all over the world. Live sessions will be adjusted to match the time zones of participants as far as possible.

About the University/Institution:

In 2011, Aarhus University launched the extended summer program “AU Summer University”. The program consists of a portfolio of courses taught in English at Bachelor’s or Master’s level within the fields of Arts, Business and Economics, Business Communication, Political Science and Law, Health, Science, and Technology.

In 2020, we are offering 101 English taught courses by AU lecturers and invited international guest lecturers from all over the world. All teaching at AU Summer University is based on current research and has a strong international perspective. The close link between research and education ensures the quality and depth of the courses.

AU Summer University welcomes Danish and international full-time students, exchange students and free movers. Class sizes range from 20-50 students. In 2019, almost 2800 Danish and international students decided to spend part of their summer taking specialized, intensive courses in Aarhus. 97% of the evaluated students recommended the program to their friends.

Along with the academic program, we offer accommodation services, visa services, and a social program for both lecturers and students.

The AU Summer University administration is located at the International Centre. We are located at the south end of University Park.
