How can public policy promote innovation-based growth? What is lacking in the current social protection policy in your country and how can it be improved? What are the key factors that governments should take into account when forming their immigration policy? If you want to develop the skills to answer these questions in a professional capacity, then the master’s program in Public Policy and Human Development is a good fit for you. The Master of Science in Public Policy and Human Development emphasizes the connection between public policy and decision-making processes, or more specifically, the effectiveness and efficiency of governance. You will be equipped with a variety of skills, tools, and knowledge which enable you to work as a policy designer or policy analyst. You will be capable of working within public and private institutions at local, national and international levels. The one-year master’s program is offered as a double degree in collaboration with the United Nations University (UNU-MERIT ).

Enrollment Requirements:

• A minimum level corresponding to academic IELTS 7.0 is required for this study program.

• You automatically meet the language requirements for this study program if one or more of the following conditions apply:

– you have completed a bachelor’s or master’s study program where the language of instruction is English
– you have obtained an International or European Baccalaureate, a US high school diploma or UK GCE A-levels
– you have completed a bachelor’s or master’s study program where the language of instruction is NOT English, however, you are able to demonstrate sufficient proficiency in English, for example by English taught courses, internships or work experience in an English environment.

If none of these conditions apply, you can submit one of the following language test certificates (minimum scores between brackets). If you already have a language test certificate, we strongly recommend that you submit this certificate as part of your application.

– TOEFL Paper-based test (600)
– TOEFL Internet test (100)
– TOEIC listening and reading (780) and speaking and writing (350)
– Cambridge [Advanced (CAE) Grade C (scale 185 and above), First Certificate in English (FCE) Grade A (scale 185 and above)]
or similar accredited certification
