‘Technological Innovation Management Centric Initiative for Building an Innovation Economy’ begins at Daffodil International University Two-day Innovation Stakeholder Consultative Conference on ‘Technological Innovation Management Centric Initiative for Building an Innovation Economy’ began today on June 12, 2019, at Daffodil International University. Prof. Dr M Nawaz Sharif, an internationally famed expert on technological innovation and technology transfer presented keynote paper as a keynote speaker in a conference. Industries secretary Mr Md. Abdul Haliminaugurated the conference as the chief guest while Dr Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU presided over the program. Beside this Professor Dr Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of DIU, Professor Dr Masum Iqbal, Dean, Faculty of Finance and Entrepreneurship, Mr Abu Taher Khan, Director, Career Development Centre also addressed the program. Career Development Center, Department of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Skill. Jobs and Bangladesh Venture Capital jointly organized this conference.
Mr Md. Abdul Halim said that the technological revolution is going on at present in Bangladesh. To be benefited through this revolution we have to give emphasis on technological innovation. He stressed to develop a technology friendly young generation. In this regard present government has taken lots of initiative like establishing technological training centre, Technology University, including technology education in the text curriculum in school and college level etc.
Prof. Dr M Nawaz Sharif said to his keynote speech that no technology can sustain forever and no technology company can sustain as the market leader for a long time. Leading Technology of twenty years back is now-rejected. In the same way, today’s technology will become obsolete in future. So it is time for Bangladesh to take leadership of the global technology market.
Dr Md. Sabur Khan in his presidential speech said that the main purpose of technology is to make easy our life and give more and more benefits. But we wouldn’t be benefited through technology due to our negative mentality. So, we have to be positively minded in using innovative technology.
Dr Md. Sabur Khan also said that we will have to be more conscious about the use of latest and innovative technology to make our economic development by using technological opportunities.
More than 50 participants from different organization attended this conference and they discussed in 10 different sessions. The conference will conclude tomorrow 13 June 2019.
