Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies-BILS, is offering a Massive Open Online Courses in Bangla (MOOC) on Towards Sustainable and Inclusive Development in Bangladesh: The Role of Industrial Relations and Workers’ Rights to the relevant professionals and interested others. The course is developed through a cooperation between the Global Labour University network, the Bangladesh Institute of Labour Studies (BILS) and the DGB BW with the financial support of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

This course is designed for any person interested to learn about the role of industrial relations and workers’ rights for inclusive and sustainable development: trade unionists, labour activists, labour educators, labour researchers, NGOs, employers and mid-level management professionals from RMG and other sectors, legal experts and lawyers, government officials, media professionals. No prior knowledge of the topic is required. A group of experts from public and private sectors, universities and environmentalists will conduct the course.

The main purposes of the course is to enhance and acquire analytical and practical skills on the topics of International Labour Standards, the machinery of the ILO; a regulatory and institutional framework for workers’ rights and safety at work in Bangladesh; Global supply chains, fair wages, inclusive development.
