About the Degree

The program in Mechanical Engineering is a professional bachelor’s degree. Professional bachelor degrees have a curriculum in large part made up of career and practice-oriented training. The program prepares students for direct employment within professions of industry, education, commerce, health, etc.

Professional bachelor degrees do not exclude access to subsequent degrees (e.g. a Master). In some cases, a bridging program or supplementary courses might be necessary.

Tuition

There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students from outside the EU, EEA or Switzerland.

The tuition fees are:

  • EUR 7.500 for each of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th semester
  • EUR 1.000 for the 5th semester (internship)

Students within an exchange program are not required to pay tuition.

Course Details:

In a process based on a combination of engineering skills, mechanical engineers create ideas, as well as develop and design new products. As a mechanical engineer, you will not only work with cutting edge technological developments, you will build knowledge and tools that enable you to influence progress.
The Mechanical Engineering program will get you up to speed with current technological developments and give you the knowledge and tools to influence the technology of the future.

You will work on projects in close cooperation with companies in the fields of industry, automation, energy, and the environment. The program qualifies graduates to perform work functions, where the main objectives are product development and construction of machines and systems, with an option of specialization in 1) Intelligent Mechanics, 2) Polymers and
composites or 3) Sustainable Energy.

The program is also offered as an exchange program.
