This program covers engineering methods and technologies relevant in making artificial mobile systems independent of permanent human supervision, i.e., technologies that enable mobile systems to engage in autonomous intelligent operations. Application areas include the automotive and transport industries, robotics and automation, communication technologies, marine technology, and logistics. The program also includes transdisciplinary aspects related to the study of processes that enable mobility in intelligent natural systems. Hands-on experience with technical systems and methods in state-of-the-art labs are part of the program.

Course Details:

All programs are individually structured. Every student is assigned to a specific professor within the program or an adjacent program for academic advice. The goal of academic advising is to provide detailed information to students concerning the program of study and to help students manage their time at university to their best advantage.

Enrollment Requirements:

  3. school transcripts of the last two to three years
  4. results of your standardized test(s) (SAT, ACT, TestAS)
  5. results of your language proficiency test(s) (TOEFL, IELTS, CAE, Duolingo, etc.)

Jacobs University Bremen (abbreviated JU Bremen or JU) is an international, private, residential, doctorate-granting research university located in Vegesack, Bremen, State of Bremen, Germany. It offers study programs in engineering, humanities, natural and social sciences, in which students can acquire bachelor’s, masters or doctorate degrees. To be considered for admission to an undergraduate program, you need to apply by the following deadlines:

– Early decision: application due by 1 November
– Early action I: application due by 1 December
– Early action II: application due by 1 February

Rolling admission:
– Application due by 1 June for international students (who require a visa to enter and study in Germany)
– Application due by 20 July for EU/EEA citizens and citizens who do not require a visa
